神因为自己是爱的缘故，所以祂对于我们就变作神爱世人。神就是爱，是说到祂的性质；神爱世人，是说到祂的动作。神自己就是爱，所以祂所发出来的东西，就是爱。如果有爱，就该有对象。神有了爱，神立刻就给我们看到第二件事，神爱世人。神不只爱我们，神并且向我们发出爱来。
今天的世人有一个最大的难处，就是在那里猜想说，神对于人不怀好意。人是想说，神对我苛求，神待我顶严厉，神对我顶刻薄。人因为疑惑了神的爱，人就疑惑了神爱世人。神如果是爱，神就爱世人。祂的性质如果是爱，祂对于世人，就非爱不可。
我们可以因为犯罪的缘故，因为受撒但试探的缘故，因为受罪的缠累的缘故，怨我们自己，但是绝对不能疑惑到神的自己。你如果犯罪了，你如果失败了，你如果受试探了，你可以因此怨自己，但你如果疑惑到神对于你的心意，这不是基督徒所作的，因为这是与福音里的启示相反的。
我不敢说，你从今以后不会失败；我不敢说，你从今以后不会犯罪。也许你要失败，也许你要犯罪；但是请你记得，你犯罪，你失败，是一件事，神对于你的心如何，是另一件事。千万不要因为失败而疑惑到神对于你的感觉如何，你虽然犯罪，你虽然失败，神对于你并没有改变，因为神就是爱，因为神极爱世人。这是圣经中没有法子转移的一件东西。
我们这一边是会转动的，是会改变的，但是，有一边不会转动，不会改变的，就是神的爱。许多时候你的爱可以冷落，你的爱可以改变，但这不是说神那一边也受了影响。如果神就是爱，就不管用甚么东西敲祂，所发出来的都是爱。神如果就是爱，不管你怎么弃绝祂，怎么拒绝祂，怎么冷落祂，神还是爱。有一件事是事实，神不能背乎祂自己，神不能与祂自己相反。因为神是爱，所以神爱也是顶自然的事。神没有法子改变祂的性质。如果你不能改变神的性质，你就不能改变神对于你的态度。所以是神爱世人。
信息重点：神就是爱说到祂的性质，神爱世人说到祂的动作。我们会软弱、失败、改变，但神爱的性质不会改变。因此，不要因自己的光景疑惑神的心；无论我们的情形如何，神仍然是爱。
应用祷告：主耶稣，感谢你的爱永不改变。当我软弱、失败或受试探时，求你保守我不疑惑你的心，使我转向你、相信你，更多经历你那不能改变的爱。阿们。

God Loved the World — John 3:16
Because God Himself is love, His relation to us becomes God loving the world. God is love speaks of His nature; God loves the world speaks of His action. God Himself is love, so what He gives forth is love. If there is love, there must be an object. Once God has love, God immediately shows us a second thing: God loves the world. God not only loves us, but God also sends forth love toward us.
One of the greatest difficulties people face today is the suspicion that God harbors ill will toward them. They imagine that God makes harsh demands of them, treats them with extreme severity, or deals with them callously. Because they doubt God’s love, they doubt that He loves the world. If God is love, then He loves the world; if love is His very nature, He cannot help but love the world.
We may blame ourselves because of committing sin, because of being tempted by Satan, or because of being entangled by sin, but we absolutely cannot doubt God Himself. If you have sinned, if you have failed, if you have been tempted, you may blame yourself because of this, but if you doubt God’s heart toward you, this is not what a Christian should do, for this is contrary to the revelation in the gospel.
I dare not say that from now on you will never fail; I dare not say that from now on you will never sin. Perhaps you will fail, perhaps you will sin; but please remember, your sinning and your failing are one thing, and God’s heart toward you is another thing. Never doubt how God feels toward you because of failure. Although you have sinned, although you have failed, God has not changed toward you, because God is love, because God loves the world exceedingly. This is one thing in the Bible that can never be shifted.
Our side may turn and change, but there is a side that neither turns nor changes — and that is the love of God. Often, your love may grow cold or change, but this does not mean that God’s side is affected. If God *is* love, then no matter what strikes Him, what emanates from Him is love. If God is love, then no matter how you forsake, reject or neglect Him, God remains love. One thing is certain: God cannot deny Himself; He cannot act contrary to His own nature. Because God is love, His loving is the most natural thing; He cannot alter His own nature. If you cannot change God’s nature, you cannot change His attitude toward you. Thus, it is God who loves the world.
Message Main Points: God is love speaks of His nature; God loves the world speaks of His action. We may become weak, fail and different, but the nature of God’s love does not change. Therefore, do not doubt God’s heart because of your own condition; whatever our situation, God is still love.
Dally Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You that Your love never changes. When I am weak, when I fail, or when I am tempted, keep me from doubting Your heart; make me to turn to You, believe in You and experience more of Your unchangeable love. Amen.
