padding: 20px;\">\n  <p style=\"font-size: 20px; text-align: left;\">\nThe first item is concerning sin.\n<\/p>\n  <p style=\"font-size: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<strong><u>The source of sin is the devil<\/u><\/strong>. We see this in 8:44 where the Lord says to the Pharisees, \u201cYou are of your father the devil, and it is your will to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks out of his own self; for he is a liar and the father of it.\u201d Since the devil is the father of liars, he is the source of sin. <strong><u>The evil element of the devil, working as sin through death and darkness within man, enslaves man to sin<\/strong><\/u>.\n<\/p>\n <p style=\"font-size: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<strong><u>We all were born of the devil, the old serpent<\/u><\/strong> (John 8:44; Rev. 12:9). Because the devil is the father of sinners, sinners are \u201cthe children of the devil\u201d (1 John 3:10). The devil is the old serpent (Rev. 12:9; 20:2), and sinners also are serpents, the generation of vipers (Matt. 23:33; 3:7).\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<strong><u>All sinners were born as children of the devil with the poison of the serpent<\/u><\/strong>. The devil is the serpent with the serpentine poison. All sinners were born of the devil with his poison. In our fallen nature there is the poison of the old serpent, the devil.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<strong><u>All sinners were born in sin in Adam (John 9:34)<\/u><\/strong>. Since we were born in sin, we were born sinners.
