style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u601c\u60af\u548c\u601c\u6064\u4e4b\u95f4\u6709\u751a\u4e48\u4e0d\u540c\uff1f\u5f88\u96be\u533a\u522b\u3002\u867d\u7136\u601c\u6064\u975e\u5e38\u63a5\u8fd1\u601c\u60af\uff0c\u4f46\u6211\u8981\u8bf4\uff0c\u601c\u6064\u6bd4\u601c\u60af\u66f4\u6df1\u3001\u66f4\u7ec6\u3001\u66f4\u4e30\u5bcc\u3002\u5c06\u672c\u8282\u7684\u601c\u6064\u4e0e\u601c\u60af\u653e\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\uff0c\u52a0\u5f3a\u795e\u662f\u6ee1\u6709\u601c\u60af\u7684\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e8b\u5b9e\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span 9:11-15<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: 20px;\">\u201cWhat shall we say then? There is no unrighteousness with God, is there? Absolutely not! For He said to Moses. \u2018I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion\u2019\u201d (Rom. 9:14-15). God says \u201cI will,\u201d and we should not argue with Him. We are not God; we do not have His sovereign authority. \n\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: 20px;\">What is the difference between mercy and compassion? It is hard to distinguish. Although compassion is very close to mercy, I would say that compassion is deeper, finer, and richer than mercy. Putting compassion and mercy together in this verse strengthens the fact that God is full of mercy.\n\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: 20px;\">\u201cSo then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.\u201d (Rom. 9:16). Mercy reaches further than grace. If I am in a good situation, and my status matches yours, and you give me a gift, that is grace. However, if I am in a pitiful situation, and my status is far below yours, and you give me something, that is mercy. If I am your dear friend and I come to you, and you give me a Bible as a gift, that is grace. However, if I am a pitiful, filthy beggar who cannot do anything for himself, and you give me ten dollars, that is not grace, but mercy. Therefore, mercy reaches further than grace. Grace only reaches a fitting situation, but mercy reaches much further, coming to a pitiful situation that is undeserving of grace.\n\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: 20px;\">According to our natural condition, we are far from God, completely unworthy of His grace. We are only fit to receive His mercy. Therefore, verse 15 does not say, \u201cI have grace on whom I have grace.\u201d No, it says, \u201cI will have mercy on whom I have mercy.\u201d You might think Jacob had no goodness, that he was entirely a crafty and deceitful person, and that Esau was much better than him. You are correct. That is the way God shows mercy. Jacob was pitiful, but God had mercy on him. God\u2019s mercy does not lie in man\u2019s good condition, but is manifested in man\u2019s pitiful condition. What God\u2019s mercy reaches exceeds His grace.\n\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: 20px;\">Daily Question:\u00a0We have received God\u2019s grace and also God\u2019s mercy; please briefly describe the difference between the two.
