font-size: 20px; font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">Verses 19\u201320 say: \u201cJehovah God formed from the ground every beast of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to the man to see what he would call them\u2026 The man gave names to all the cattle and to the birds of the air and to every beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper as his counterpart.\u201d God brought all the living creatures before Adam, but none was found to be his counterpart. All the living beings formed from the ground could not be Adam\u2019s companion. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 20px; font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">Verse 21 says, \u201cJehovah God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place. Jehovah God built the rib, which He had taken from the man, into a woman and brought her to the man.\u201d This woman became Adam\u2019s counterpart. This typifies what is spoken of in Ephesians chapter 5 regarding the church. Everything made from the dust &#8212; everything not taken out of Adam\u2014could not be his counterpart. All the beasts, cattle, and birds were formed from the ground; none came from Adam\u2019s own body, and thus none could be his counterpart. We must remember: Eve was built from Adam\u2019s rib &#8212; Adam was the material from which Eve was made. In the same way, the church comes out of Christ. What comes out of Christ is the church; what does not come out of Christ is not the church. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 20px; font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">In Genesis 1:26, it says, \u201cGod said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them\u2026\u201d Here, the word \u201cman\u201d is singular in the original Hebrew, yet the pronoun that follows is plural &#8212; \u201cthem.\u201d This shows us that God made one man, yet also two. One man is two persons, and two persons are one man. Why? Because Eve was within Adam. Verse 27 continues: \u201cGod created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.\u201d The way God created \u201cman\u201d is the way He created \u201cthem.\u201d Not only was Adam created; Eve was also included in him. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 20px; font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">\u201cGod created man in His own image\u201d &#8212; this \u201cman\u201d is singular and typifies Christ. \u201cIn the image of God He created them\u201d &#8212; this \u201cthem\u201d is plural and includes the church. God does not only want an only begotten Son; He also wants many sons.
