text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Always Carrying about in the\u000bBody the Dying of Jesus \u2013 2 Cor. 4:10<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 20px; font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">Here, \u201cputting to death\u201d means being killed &#8212; it refers to the work of death, the work of the cross, which the Lord Jesus suffered and passed through. While on earth, the Lord was daily under this putting to death; He experienced being put to death day by day. The apostles also experienced this; they were under the killing work of the cross daily and were continually being put to death. The apostles underwent this putting to death \u201cso that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.\u201d <strong>The killing of the cross results in the manifestation of resurrection life. This daily putting to death serves the purpose of releasing God&#8217;s life in resurrection. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 20px; font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">The ongoing daily grinding has a specific purpose &#8212; that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our body. This life is the life of resurrection. Even before the crucifixion, the Lord Jesus lived out the resurrection life. What He lived on earth was a life of resurrection. This resurrection life is able to withstand the putting to death. Paul continues in verse 11: \u201cFor we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus\u2019 sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.\u201d In verses 10 and 11, the use of the name \u201cJesus\u201d implies that the life the apostles lived was just like the life Jesus lived on earth. It was a life under the killing of the cross so that the resurrection life could be manifested. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 20px; font-family: 'times new roman', times;\"><strong>Verse 12 says, \u201cSo death works in us, but life in you.\u201d When we are under the killing of the Lord\u2019s death, His resurrection life is imparted into others through us. The imparting of life to others always comes as a result of us receiving the killing of the cross.<\/strong> In verse 12, Paul is essentially saying, \u201cWe are being put to death, but you Corinthians are living. Our dying results in life being poured into you, so that you may live. To us, it is a putting to death; to you, it is the impartation of life.\u201d Paul did not mind suffering because he knew that if he were put to death, life would be imparted to many.
