水浸表征基督审判的死,拯救我们脱离神所定罪的世界
当你受浸时,你是被埋葬了。要叫一个人与世界分离,没有甚么比埋葬更有效的了。甚么是受浸?很多人以为这只是一种仪式,使人成为所谓的教会里挂名的教友而已。然而,每当我们要给人施浸,我们必须先用权柄和主耶稣权能的名,祷告并运用我们的灵。然后我们再给人施浸,把他们放在“坟墓”里埋葬他们。这样的埋葬才能叫人从世界中分别出来。
我们已经受浸归入基督的死(罗六3)。我们已经在受浸中与基督一同埋葬(西二12)。我们已经死了,也埋葬了,脱离了世上的蒙学(西二20)。我们已经过了洪水和红海。那审判挪亚世代的洪水救了挪亚,那审判埃及人的红海救了以色列人。这是我们今天所需要的救恩。你享受过这一面的救恩么?
水浸是由拯救挪亚脱离他那邪恶世代的洪水所豫表(彼前三20-21)。挪亚是被浸在一个大浸池内,并且经过了一段很长的时间,最少四十天。“四十”这数字表征试炼,没有人能造这么大的浸池,积聚这么多的水。圣经中第一次题到的浸,乃是遍及全世界的浸。我们的浸也必须像那样。你一浸到那种浸池里,就无路可逃。我们很容易从会所的浸池出来,但挪亚却无法从他受浸所用的浸池中出来。挪亚被埋在一个遍及世界的大坟墓里。那就是受浸的种子。基督的死是包罗万有的。基于祂的死而有的浸乃是遍及世界,甚至是遍及宇宙的,其中充满了审判和埋葬的水。
表征基督审判之死的水浸,也由拯救以色列人脱离埃及世代之红海的水所豫表(出十四26-28)。水浸有两个豫表:洪水与红海。彼前三章二十至二十一节说,挪亚所经过的洪水豫表拯救我们的浸。林前十章一至二节告诉我们,以色列人所经过的红海也是一种浸,拯救神的百姓脱离邪恶的权势和仇敌的奴役。一切属世的职业,属世的享乐、娱乐、运动,都已埋在我们受浸的红海里。这种在圣灵的权能里有功效的浸,拯救我们脱离世界,脱离神所定罪和审判的邪恶世代。

Baptism Signifies Christ’s Judging Death that Saves us from the Condemned World
When you were baptized, you were buried. Nothing separates a person from the world more effectively than burial. What is baptism? Many think it is merely a ceremony that makes a person a registered member in a so-called church. However, whenever we baptize someone, we must first pray by exercising our spirit with authority in the name and power of the Lord Jesus; then we baptize the person by placing them into the “tomb” to bury them. Only such a burial can separate a person from the world. We have been baptized into Christ’s death (Rom. 6:3). We have been buried together with Christ in baptism (Col. 2:12). We have died, been buried, and been delivered from the elementary principles of the world (Col. 2:20). We have passed through the flood and the Red Sea. The flood that judged Noah’s generation saved Noah, and the Red Sea that judged the Egyptians saved Israel. This is the aspect of salvation we need today. Have you enjoyed this aspect of salvation?
Baptism is typified by the flood that saved Noah from his evil generation (1 Pet. 3:20–21). Noah was immersed in a great baptismal pool for a long period of time — at least forty days. The number forty signifies trial. No one could build such a large pool or gather so much water; the first baptism mentioned in Scripture covered the entire earth. Our baptism must be like that. Once you enter such a baptismal pool, there is no escape. We can easily come out of a meeting hall’s baptistry, but Noah could not escape the “pool” of his baptism. He was buried in a worldwide tomb. This is the seed of baptism. Christ’s death is all-inclusive, and a baptism based on His death becomes universal — even cosmic — filled with waters of judgment and burial.
The baptism that signifies Christ’s judging death is also typified by the Red Sea through which Israel was delivered from the Egyptian generation (Exo. 14:26–28). Baptism has two major types: the flood and the Red Sea. First Peter 3:20–21 shows that the flood Noah passed through typifies the baptism that saves us, and 1 Cor. 10:1–2 tells us that Israel’s passage through the Red Sea was also a baptism, saving God’s people from the evil power and oppression of their enemies. All worldly occupations, worldly pleasures, entertainments and sports have been buried in the Red Sea of our baptism. Such a baptism, operative in the power of the Holy Spirit, saves us from the world and the evil age that God has condemned and judged.
