神是灵，我们今天有灵，所以我们认识神。也许有不信的人和我们辩论，我们口才不如他，聪明不如他，讲不出许多大道理，但是我们知道我们认识神，因为我们已经重生，我们已经有了重生的灵，我们能用这个灵去摸着神。讲得出道理也好，讲不出道理也好，都没有关系，总之我们已经摸着神了。不认识神的人盼望藉着分析、归纳、讲理由来寻找神。但是，分析有了，归纳也有了，理由也有了，他还是不能相信，因为神不是给人分析、归纳出来的。人只有一个法子能找出神来，就是要有重生的灵。以这样的灵来碰神，一碰就知道。除此以外，别的方法都没有用。人要读圣经，也必须有重生的灵才能读，就像人必须有重生的灵才能摸着神一样。
我们里面所有的成分，只有一部分可以读圣经的，那就是我们经过重生的灵。我们若用其余任何的部分去读圣经，那都是在神之外的，根本摸不着神的东西。这一本圣经，可以在人身上变作肉体，也可以在人身上变作灵。人如果没有重生的灵，只有肉体和肉体所包括的一切东西，圣经在他身上就变作肉体；人如果有重生的灵，有这个灵的功能在他身上，当他摸着神的话时候，也就摸着灵。这并不是说圣经会变作不是灵。圣经本身是灵。
主耶稣说，“叫人活着的乃是灵，肉体是无益的；我对你所说的话，就是灵。”主耶稣的话是灵。但是主耶稣的话在信祂的门徒身上是灵，在不信祂的犹太人身上却变作肉体；在有重生的灵的人身上是灵，在没有这个灵的人身上就变作肉体。有许多人读的圣经，使人觉得可笑，就因为他们缺了这个灵。人必须有这个灵，才能读神的话。

To Be Spiritual (3) – John 3:4-5
God is Spirit and we have the spirit, so we are able to know God. Perhaps unbelievers may argue with us, and our eloquence and intelligence may not be good as theirs, and we cannot articulate many great principles, but we know that we know God. Since we have been regenerated, we have a regenerated spirit, and we can use this spirit to touch God. It doesn’t matter if we can articulate principles well or not. We have already touched God in any case. Men who do not know God hope to seek God through analysis, induction and reasoning. But even with analysis, induction and reasoning, they still cannot believe, because God is not something to be analyzed or induced by man. Man has only one way to find God, and that is to have a regenerated spirit. When such a spirit touches God, one knows immediately upon contact. Apart from this, other methods are useless. For a man to read the Bible, he must also have a regenerated spirit to read it, just as a person must have a regenerated spirit to touch God.
Of all the components within us, only one part can read the Bible, and that is our regenerated spirit. If we use any other part to read the Bible, it is outside of God and fundamentally cannot touch the things of God. This Bible can become flesh in a man, and it can also become spirit in a man. If a person does not have a regenerated spirit, but only has the flesh and all that the flesh contains, the Bible becomes flesh to him. If a person has a regenerated spirit and has the function of this spirit working in him, when he touches God’s word, he also touches spirit. This is not to say that the Bible changes into something that is not spirit. The Bible itself is spirit.
The Lord Jesus said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit.” The words of the Lord Jesus are spirit. But the words of the Lord Jesus are spirit to His disciples who believe in Him, yet they become flesh to the Jews who do not believe in Him. To people with a regenerated spirit they are spirit, but to people without this spirit they become flesh. Many people reading of the Bible in a way that makes others feel ridiculous, because they lack this spirit. A person must have this spirit in order to read God’s word.
