神又对蛇说，“我又要叫你和女人彼此为仇，你的后裔和女人的后裔，也彼此为仇；女人的后裔要伤你的头，你要伤他的脚跟。”这话虽是对蛇说的，却是神给人一个奇妙的应许，一个大好的信息、全备的福音。
这里的女人就是夏娃，而夏娃表征所有属神的人，就是所有站在女人地位上信靠神的人。而女人的后裔，就是基督，要伤蛇的头，这意思就是女人的后裔要毁坏蛇并杀死它；但蛇只能伤害女人后裔的脚跟。这是指明当主耶稣在十字架上废除那掌死权的撒但时（来二14，约壹三8），撒但也藉着把主耶稣的脚钉在十字架上而伤了祂（诗二二16）。
这里的女人，首先是指夏娃，其次指所有倚靠神、信靠神的人；也就是指所有属神的人。蛇和女人彼此为仇，就是撒但和夏娃，撒但和所有属神的人，彼此为仇。撒但要和属神的人争战。因此，我们必须是信靠神，属神，并与撒但争战的人。而女人的后裔是谁呢？就是主耶稣，祂是从童女马利亚生的（赛七14，太一23，加四4）。因此，祂的确是女人的后裔。祂在十字架上，已经废除那掌死权的撒但，藉此祂就伤了蛇的头。
女人的后裔也包括启示录十二章所提到，妇人的男孩子（启十二1，2，5）。女人是较软弱的，而男人，特别是男孩子，代表刚强。教会中的得胜者，就是教会中刚强的圣徒，他们是男孩子，也是女人后裔的一部分，要打败仇敌。男孩子得胜不是靠着自己的功劳，乃是靠着羔羊的血，和自己所见证的话（11）。每当仇敌来试诱、搅扰我们，引我们去犯罪，或陷入纷乱的心思里，我们无须受他搅扰，也不要中了他的诡计。我们却要向撒但宣告神见证的话，这样蛇就被毁坏了。

The Enmity Between the Serpent and the Woman – Gen. 3:15
God also said to the serpent, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.” Though these words were spoken to the serpent, they are actually a marvelous promise given by God to man — an excellent message and a complete gospel.
The woman here refers to Eve, who signifies all those who belong to God — all those who trust in God and stand in the position of the woman. The seed of the woman refers to Christ, who will bruise the head of the serpent. This means that the seed of the woman will destroy and kill the serpent. The serpent, however, can only bruise the heel of the seed of the woman. This points to the fact that when the Lord Jesus nullified Satan, who had the power of death, on the cross (Heb. 2:14; 1 John 3:8), Satan also wounded the Lord Jesus by piercing His feet on the cross (Psa. 22:16).
The woman here, first of all, refers to Eve, and second, to all who trust and rely on God — that is, to all who belong to God. The enmity between the serpent and the woman is the enmity between Satan and Eve, and between Satan and all of God’s people. Satan wages war against the people of God. Therefore, we must be those who trust in God, belong to God and at war with Satan. And who is the seed of the woman? It is the Lord Jesus, who was born of the virgin Mary (Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:23; Gal. 4:4). Thus, He is indeed the seed of the woman. On the cross, He nullified Satan, who had the power of death, and thereby bruised the serpent’s head.
The seed of the woman also includes the man-child mentioned in Revelation chapter 12 (Rev. 12:1, 2, 5). The woman is weaker, but the man-child represents strength. The overcomers in the church — those who are strong in spirit — are the man-child. They are also part of the seed of the woman and will defeat the enemy. The man-child does not overcome by his own merit, but by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony (Rev. 12:11). Whenever the enemy comes to tempt or disturb us, trying to lead us into sin or confusion in our thoughts, we do not need to be troubled or fall for his schemes. Instead, we should declare the word of God’s testimony to Satan. In doing so, the serpent is defeated and destroyed.
