Man Is the Center of God’sCreation – Gen. 1:31
The Second Purpose of Man’s Creation: To Exercise God’s Dominion (con’t)
We are to express God in our daily living and to deal with Satan. When we see Satan being expressed in our family members, we should not say a word. Instead, we should go into our bedroom, kneel down and pray, “Lord, bind Satan!” If we find that we ourselves are expressing Satan, we must also run away to pray: “Oh Lord, forgive me! Bind the evil one.” In reality, it is not our family members who are losing their temper, nor is it their words that make us angry — it is all the work of the enemy, Satan. So do not deal with your family or classmates; it is not their fault. We must deal with Satan who is behind them. Arguing can never defeat Satan. The more we argue, the more ground Satan gains. The only way to deal with Satan is to kneel down and pray, to call on the name of the Lord Jesus, and to ask Him to bind that serpent. Many people can testify that after spending some time in the Lord’s presence, when they come out of their room, their faces are shining. We immediately know that they have been with the Lord. This kind of shining overcomes all rebellious creatures and conquers every environment. This is the kingdom. This is dominion.
Man Is the Center of God’s Creation
After God created man, He looked at everything He had made and saw that it was “very good.” Before the sixth day, God never said “very good” — He only said “good.” Why did God say “very good” on the sixth day? Because Adam now bore God’s image and had God-given dominion. Therefore, God could say, “very good.” This shows us that man is the most unique among all of God’s creations. In Genesis chapter 1, when God created all other living things, they were made “according to their kind.” But when God created man, He did not say man was made “according to his kind.” Instead, He said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” This indicates that man was not made according to any earthly kind, but according to God’s kind. Among the countless created things on the earth, only man was created according to God’s kind and shares God’s image. Because man was created in God’s kind, he can understand God’s heart, love what God loves, and choose what God desires. Man not only resembles God outwardly in form but also inwardly in thought and preference. Therefore, man is able to express God on the earth and, with the dominion granted by God, represent Him to rule over the earth. What a glorious blessing God has given to man!
