第六天：生出地上的活物
现在我们来到第六天的创造。神说，『地要生出活物来，各从其类；牲畜、昆虫、野兽，各从其类；事就这样成了。』（创一24。）于是神造出野兽、牲畜和昆虫，都各从其类；在第六天，一些更高的动物生命生出了。走兽和牲畜都能在地上有所作为，例如狮子能掳掠仇敌，掐住仇敌的颈项，（四九9，）母牛能用来拖拉车子。（撒上六7，12上。）它们的意识比鱼高，甚至比鸟高，它们能在这地上有所作为。
这说明生命长大的层次，从青草的层次长到菜蔬；从菜蔬长到树木；然后又长到另一层次，就是动物的生命：先是鱼，逐渐长成鸟，最后长成牲畜，有更高、更强、也更有意识的生命。成为老鹰虽是好的，但很容易飞开，无法背负责任。然而作一只母牛，需要产奶去喂养人，并且能背负重担。主耶稣原是神，但为着成就神的定旨，祂来到地上，作一只母牛。祂牺牲自己，并来背负我们一切的重担。
现在我们能看见，创世记一章里的每一点，都与生命有关。我们需要将这些点，在祷告里带到主面前：『主，我有生命，但我还需要接触你，作我的太阳，使我天天在你的同在里，在你的照耀之下。我也需要月亮－教会，和众星－得胜和发光的圣徒。』我们若肯接触作太阳的主，接触作月亮的教会，并接触一些作发光之星的美好圣徒，我们就有了第四天的光体。借着这些光体，我们会长大，从植物生命转为动物生命；使我们能抵挡一切死亡的光景，也超越每一种的反对、打岔与试诱。末了，为了成就神的定旨，我们也能甘愿像主耶稣一样，牺牲自己，作为低肩背重的牛，背负别人的重担。

Further Creation: The Sixth Day – Gen. 1:24-25
The Sixth Day: Producing Living Creatures of the Earth
Now we come to the creation of the sixth day. God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind; and it was so” (Gen. 1:24). So God made the beast of the earth, cattle and everything that creeps on the earth, each according to its kind. On the sixth day, some higher forms of animal life were produced. Both wild beasts and cattle can accomplish something on the earth. For example, the lion can capture enemies and seize the enemy’s neck (Gen. 49:9), and the cow can be used to pull carts (1 Sam. 6:7, 12a). Their consciousness is higher than that of fish, and even higher than that of birds. They can accomplish something on this earth.
This shows the levels of life growth: from the level of vegetation growing to plants; from plants growing to trees; then growing to another level, which is animal life: first fish, gradually growing into birds, and finally growing into cattle, with higher, stronger and more conscious life. Being an eagle is good, but it easily flies away and cannot bear responsibility. However, being a cow requires producing milk to feed people and being able to bear heavy burdens. The Lord Jesus was originally God, but for the accomplishment of God’s purpose, He came to earth as a cow. He sacrificed Himself and came to bear all our burdens.
Now we can see that every point in Genesis chapter 1 is related to life. We need to bring these points before the Lord in prayer: “Lord, I have life, but I still need to contact You as my sun, so that I may be daily in Your presence, under Your shining. I also need the moon — the church, and the stars — the overcoming and shining saints.” If we are willing to contact the Lord as the sun, contact the church as the moon, and contact some excellent saints as shining stars, we will have the luminaries of the fourth day. Through these luminaries, we will grow, transforming from plant life to animal life, enabling us to resist all situations of death and transcend every kind of opposition, distraction and temptation. Finally, for the accomplishment of God’s purpose, we can also be willing, like the Lord Jesus, to sacrifice ourselves and be like oxen that lower their shoulders to bear burdens, carrying the burdens of others.
