首先，我们必须看见，传福音乃是属灵的争战；传福音的人必须是个争战的人。盼望我们都能深深领会，我们并非仅仅抓牢一个机会，利用各方面的优势，要鼓动弟兄姊妹奋兴传福音。我们觉得，那样的鼓动所出来的奋兴，并没有多少属灵的价值。虽然按着教会今天的光景，以及我们四围的环境、人心的情形，都需要我们有一次福音的举动；但我们没有一点意思，要在弟兄姊妹中间，鼓动出什么奋兴。我们深深觉得，主的时候的确是在这里，祂赐给的机会是我们必须抓住的。然而，我们更觉得我们这些人在神面前，需要有一次实在的认识；我们必须起来，让神能藉着我们作一点事。如果我们真要应付神的需要，就必须看见，每一次神藉着祂子民在地上传福音时，都是一件非常实际的属灵争战的事。
神的福音乃是属灵的福音，传这福音就是从事属灵的争战。这不是物质界的争战，乃是属灵界的争战；因为传福音就是要从撒但手下，从撒但权下，从撒但所霸占的那个辖制之下，把神所预定、所要拯救的人，抢夺回来。这不只是一个布道的问题，也不单单是个传扬福音的问题，乃是一个争战的问题；是神要在这个时期里，藉着祂的子民，就是祂的教会，把撒但手下所霸占的一部分人抢夺出来。
我们传福音乃是从事属灵的争战；我们必须捆绑那辖制人的壮者，就是撒但，才能把人救来（太十二29）。这种争战主要是藉着祷告。我们必须有一种争战的祷告，捆绑撒但，我们才能进到他的家里，就是进到他的权势里，进到他掌权的范围里，把他所霸占而神所要拯救的灵魂，抢夺回来。

The Gospel as Spiritual Warfare (1) – Matt. 12:29
First, we have to see that preaching the gospel is a spiritual warfare; those who preach the gospel must be warriors. May we all deeply realize that we are not merely seizing an opportunity or leveraging various advantages to stir up the brothers and sisters to zealously spread the gospel. We feel that such man-made excitement has little spiritual value. Although, given the current state of the church, the surrounding environment and the condition of men’s hearts, there is indeed a need for a gospel move, we have no intention of stirring up any kind of artificial revival among the believers, but deeply feel that the Lord’s timing is truly here, and the opportunity He gives must be seized. However, we feel even more that we, as men before God, need a genuine realization: we must rise up and allow God to do something through us. If we truly want to meet God’s need, we must see that every time God spreads the gospel on earth through His people, it is a real spiritual warfare.
God’s gospel is a spiritual gospel, and to preach this gospel is to engage in spiritual warfare. It is not warfare in the material realm but in the spiritual realm. Preaching the gospel means to rescue those whom God has predestined and desires to save from under Satan’s hand, Satan’s authority and the dominion Satan occupies. This is not merely an issue of evangelism or gospel preaching – it is an issue of warfare. In this age, God wants to use His people, the church, to snatch back from Satan a portion of the people he has taken.
When we preach the gospel, we are engaging in spiritual warfare. We have to bind the strong man who holds people in bondage – Satan – in order to save them (Matt. 12:29). This kind of warfare is primarily through prayer. We must have a kind of prayer that fights, that binds Satan, so we can enter his house – that is, enter the realm of his authority, the sphere where he rules – and snatch back the souls he has occupied, the ones God intends to save.
