Whole Household Saved (1) — Psa.127:3
God’s Promise of Salvation Given to the Household as a Unit
Now let’s discuss the unit of salvation. Everything has a unit, and the unit of salvation is the household. In the Bible, we see that in God’s dealings with man and in His interactions with man, He has given them many promises. If we know these promises, we will not suffer losses in many areas. But if we do not know them, we may suffer great losses.
The promise of salvation that God has given us is based on the household, not on the individual. If new believers are able to grasp this concept from the beginning, they will avoid many difficulties and gain benefits. This is because God saves man by household, not by individuals.
When the Bible speaks of eternal life, it refers to individuals, not households. However, when it speaks of salvation, it is indeed granted household by household, that is household_based. We need to take time to read several Scripture passages. After doing so, we will clearly see that salvation is received by the household. Then, we can come before God and pray according to His words – not just for ourselves, but for our families, bringing this matter before God.
We have a hope: that the children born among us will not have to be rescued again in the future, brought back from the world. Many are born into our families physically, and they should also be born into our families spiritually. We cannot afford to lose them year after year, only to bring them back year after year. We cannot simply bring them into this world and leave them alone – we must also bring them before the Lord.
I hope that brothers and sisters see the urgency of this matter. The future of the next generation of the church depends on whether the children born among us are brought before the Lord. If we lose as many as we gain, then in a short time, the second generation will be gone. But if those born among us can stand firm generation after generation, and others are also added from outside, then the numbers will definitely increase, and the church will be strengthened. We must never lose one who is born to Christian parents, for they have to be born again.
