诗的唱法
圣经中的唱诗有三种，就是公唱、对唱和独唱。在旧约中，有几次唱诗是利未人在那里唱，其他大概都是公众唱的。诗篇是给众人唱的。到新约的时候，唱诗也是公众唱的。主耶稣和门徒在末了一夜，唱了诗，就出来往橄榄山去（太二六30）,也是唱的诗篇。
自从有了教会之后，除了公唱之外，又加上对唱和独唱。歌罗西三章十六节和以弗所五章十九节都题到对唱的事。对唱是一个弟兄唱，另外一个弟兄答唱，这个弟兄再唱，另外一个弟兄再答唱；或是几个弟兄唱，另外几个弟兄答唱，几个弟兄再唱，另外几个弟兄再答唱。圣经中是有对唱的，所以我们也应该对唱。或是分一节一节的对唱，或是姊妹与弟兄的对唱，或是一人与众人的对唱，或是几人与几人的对唱，或是坐在前面的人与坐在后面的人对唱，都是很好的。
实际学习
我们先要熟读诗歌目录，记清我们所用的诗歌本是如何分类的。明白分类的原则，记得每一类的性质和用途，也记住甚么诗是在甚么地方，用的时候就能一找就找到。然后，找出与你自己最有关系的诗来学习。先明白它的辞句，分清它的标点，找出作者的思路是如何进展、贯彻到底的。你的心要开起来，感觉要敏锐，意志要温柔，思想要清楚。
这样作了以后，还要学习唱。也许一个礼拜可以学两三首。如果不能唱，最初的时候，可以在每天早晨哼一两首。你可以自制一个简单的调子来哼诗。这样，你就自然而然会摸着诗的灵，自然而然会增加你属灵的感觉。不过，还是应该按谱学唱。能唱以后，无论公唱、对唱和独唱，都能随着圣灵的引导去作。

盼望我们在神面前有一点学习。如果我们能够柔细的到神面前去，我们就能与神有更亲密的交通。我们感谢神，将来在永世里所有的感觉都要细嫩。我们知道，天上的赞美，比地上的祷告还要多。祷告要过去，但是永世里要充满了赞美。那一天，所有的感觉都变作细嫩；那一天，是最甘美、最喜乐的日子。

The Applications of Hymns: Ways of Singing and Practical Learning – Rev. 15:3
Ways of Singing Hymns
There are three types of singing in the Bible, namely singing publicly, duet and solo. In the Old Testament, several hymns were sung by the Levites, and others were probably sung by the public. And Psalms were sung by people. At the New Testament times, hymns were also sung in public. Lord Jesus and his disciples sang a hymn on the last night, and then went out to the Mount of Olives (Matt. 26:30). The hymn they sang was also from the Psalms..
Since the establishment of the church, in addition to public singing, duet and solo have also been added. Col. 3:16 and Eph. 5:19 both mention duet. In antiphonal singing, one brother sings, another brother sings in response, this brother sings again, and another brother sings again in response. It is possible to have more than one brother to have alternate or responsive singing. There is antiphonal singing in the Bible, so we should also practice it as well. It can be a duet of verses, or a duet of sisters against brothers, or a duet of one man against many, or a duet of a few people against a few people, or a duet between the person sitting in the front row against the person sitting in the back row. All these practices are fine.
Practical Learning
First we need to get familiar with the contents of the hymns, remember clearly how the hymn book classifies them and understand the principles of its classification. We also need to know the kind and purpose of each category, and remember their location, so that you may easily search hymns when you plan to use them. It is followed by finding the hymns that are most related to you and studying them. First you need to understand its verses, find the phrase fragments, and know the progress of the author’s thought throughout the whole hymn. When doing so, your heart should be open with sensitive feelings, gentle will and a clear mind.
Once the above mentioned has been done, you still need to learn to sing. Maybe you learn two or three hymns per week. If you can not sing, you may initially hum one or two hymns each morning, or try to create a simple melody of your own to hum the hymn. In this way, you will naturally touch the spirit of a hymn, and your spiritual feeling will be increased. However, you should still learn to sing according to the music sheet. When you are able to sing based on the melody, then you may follow the leading of the Holy Spirit regardless of singing publicly, duet or solo.
Christian Hymns Give Us a Feeling of Spiritual Tenderness
I hope we can learn something from God. If we approach God gently, we may have a more intimate fellowship with God. We thank God that all our feelings will be delicate in eternity. There will be more praises in heaven than prayers on earth. Prayer will eventually pass, but eternity will be filled with praises. Until that day, all the feelings become tender, it is the sweetest and most joyful day.
