然而，在人第三次堕落的时候，狡猾的仇敌就进来，藉着堕落的天使取了人身，与人类的女性通婚，破坏了人婚姻神圣的原则。这违反了保全人类纯一的婚姻原则。这种堕落天使和人类之间不法的婚姻，不但破坏了婚姻的原则，更污染了人类。魔鬼这样作的用心何在？他的用心不但要败坏人类，更要污染人类到一个程度，使之成为人性与堕落之灵的混合。堕落的天使立了这样一个破坏婚姻原则的榜样。所多玛、蛾摩拉和周围城邑的人跟着这榜样，破坏了神命定的管治原则。
现在我们明白，为甚么神决定以洪水淹没人类，将他们全部定为死罪。神决心这样作，因为人类已经变成混合品。现在我们也能明白，为甚么神焚烧所多玛、蛾摩拉和周围的城邑。

The Third Fall of Men (3) – Juda 1:7
Jude 7’s phrase “just as” indicates that verse 7 is a continuation of verse 6. According to the original text, the subject of this sentence is “the people of Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding cities,” and the predicate is “serve as an example.” The people of Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding cities were set forth as an example. Between the subject and predicate there is a modifying clause: “in the same way as these, indulging in sexual immorality and pursuing unnatural desire.” “These” refers to the fallen angels mentioned in the previous verse. What does “in the same way as these” mean? It means following their example in “pursuing strange flesh.” The fallen angels went after the flesh of humankind, and likewise, the people of Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding cities “pursued strange flesh.” This shows that these cities followed the example of the fallen angels. They did not invent this form of immorality; they simply followed what the fallen angels had initiated. The people of Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding cities were followers; the angels were the originators.
Marriage is a sacred matter. God established marriage to preserve the human race He created for His purpose. We all should regard it as most holy. Concerning marriage, there is a strict principle — one man and one woman. God ordained this sacred principle to keep humanity in a proper condition so that His purpose might be fulfilled.
However, at the time of man’s third fall, the cunning enemy entered in. Through the fallen angels taking on human form and marrying human women, he destroyed the sacred principle of marriage established by God. This violated the principle meant to preserve the purity of human marriage. Such unlawful unions between fallen angels and humans not only destroyed the principle of marriage but also corrupted mankind itself. What was the devil’s intention in doing this? His intention was not only to corrupt mankind but to defile it to such an extent that humanity became a mixture of human nature and fallen spirits. The fallen angels set an example that destroyed the divine principle of marriage, and the people of Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding cities followed that example, breaking God’s ordained principle of governance.
Now we can understand why God decided to destroy humanity with the flood and condemn them all to death. God resolved to do this because mankind had become a hybrid race. We can also now understand why God burned Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding cities with fire.
