女人表征所有神的子民
现在我们需要来看那女人是谁。首先,毫无疑问，创世记三章十五节的女人是夏娃。其次，基要派的圣经教师都同意，这女人也是指马利亚，耶稣的母亲，因为女人的后裔是主耶稣。主耶稣不是由男人生的，乃是由童女，女人，生的。因此，祂的名称是“女人的后裔。”然而，这女人有第三面的意义，她不仅表征夏娃和童女马利亚，也表征启示录十二章所启示的那个妇人。
启示录十二章一节的妇人，是一个包括了所有神子民的宇宙女人，所以她是一个团体的女人。然而，有些人把启示录十二章的妇人，解释为主耶稣的母亲马利亚。但马利亚是个别的女人、地方上的童女。我们若读启示录十二章，就可以看到那里所揭示的女人是宇宙的，不是地方的。她头上有十二星，脚踏月亮，身披日头。这一切都确定的指明她是宇宙的、团体的。
解经最好的方法就是参考圣经其他的部分。我们在约瑟的梦中看到类似的异象（创三七9）。约瑟在梦中看到太阳、月亮和十一个星。太阳表征约瑟的父亲雅各;月亮表征约瑟的母亲;十一个星表征约瑟的弟兄们。所以，在原则上，太阳、月亮和众星合起来代表神全体的子民。因此，启示录十二章的妇人不是个别的、地方上的童女。她乃是宇宙的、团体的，包括神所有的子民。

The Woman Represents All of God’s People
Now we need to consider who the woman is. First, without any doubt, the woman in Genesis 3:15 is Eve. Second, fundamental Bible teachers all agree that this woman also refers to Mary, the mother of Jesus, because the “seed of the woman” is the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus was not born of a man but of a virgin — a woman. Therefore, He is called the “seed of the woman” .However, there is a third aspect to the meaning of this woman. She does not only represent Eve and the virgin Mary, but also signifies the woman revealed in Revelation chapter 12.
The woman in Revelation 12:1 is a universal woman that includes all of God’s people, so she is a corporate woman. Some people interpret the woman in Revelation 12 as Mary, the mother of Jesus. But Mary is an individual woman, a local virgin. If we read Revelation chapter 12 carefully, we can see that the woman revealed there is not local but universal. She has a crown of twelve stars on her head, is clothed with the sun, and has the moon under her feet. All of this clearly indicates that she is universal and corporate.
The best way to interpret the Bible is to refer to other parts of Scripture. We see a similar vision in Joseph’s dream (Gen. 37:9). In the dream, Joseph saw the sun, the moon and eleven stars. The sun represented Joseph’s father Jacob, the moon his mother, and the eleven stars his brothers. So, in principle, the sun, moon and stars together represent all of God’s people. Therefore, the woman in Revelation 12 is not an individual, local virgin. She is a universal, corporate entity representing all of God’s people.
