神格的会议
神创造人是非常特别，完全不同于其他的创造。神在第六天的前半，创造了牲畜、野兽和爬物以后，祂并没有立刻继续造人。反之，神先开了一个会议讨论这事。在神创造了前面生命的各项之后，地上有了青草、菜蔬、树木等植物生命，和鱼、鸟、牲畜、野兽、以及爬物等动物生命。看起来，似乎全地都充满了生命。然而，还没有生命的成熟。神还需要创造人，作为最高的受造生命，好引进生命的成熟。因此三一神开了一个神格的会议，商议说，“我们要照着我们的形像，按着我们的样式造人。”神这样创造人，必定有一个目的，就是要人照着祂的形像，按着祂的样式来彰显祂自己（创一26-27）。
为着创造人，神先立定诸天，也预备了地基，又将为着人生存的万事万物都预备好了。神不是先创造人，然后要人等待，等祂为人立定诸天，预备地。相反的，神是立好了诸天，预备了地，将一切都预备好了，才造人。在神的创造中，人是最后才创造的。然而，人过去是中心，如今仍是中心。这正像东方习俗的结婚，新郎预备好一切，最后新娘才来到。同样的，神为人预备好一切，最后才造人。诸天是为着这地；这地连同各类的生命是为着人，而神创造人的目的，是要人为着神，作神在地上的彰显和代表。因此，人是天地万物的中心。
人的被造是神所有的创造中，一个最高的创造。神先创造了天地万物，最后才造人。这是因为所有的创造都是为着人，而人乃是为着神造的。因为人是照着神的形像，按着神的样式造的。人的被造是特别的：神用地上的尘土造人，又将祂自己那生命之气，吹入人里面，使人成为有灵的活人。在神所造的万物中，只有人里面有灵。人的灵乃是耶和华的灯，为着接触神并盛装神，且将神彰显出来，并在地上得着管治权，来代表神管理全地。

The Divine Conference – Gen. 1:26-27
God’s creation of man was something extremely special — entirely different from His other creations. In the first half of the sixth day, after God had created the livestock, beasts and creeping things, He did not immediately proceed to create man. Instead, God first held a conference to discuss this matter. After creating the various forms of living things, the earth was filled with life — there were grasses, vegetables, trees, fish, birds, livestock, wild animals and creeping things. It appeared that the earth was full of life. Yet, the maturity of life had not been reached. God still needed to create man, the highest created life, to bring in the maturity of life. Therefore, the Triune God convened a divine conference and said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” (Gen. 1:26–27) God created man in this way with a definite purpose — that man would express Him by bearing His image and likeness.
In preparation for creating man, God first established the heavens and laid the foundation of the earth. He also prepared everything necessary for human life. God did not create man first and then have him wait while He established the heavens and prepared the earth. On the contrary, God set up the heavens and prepared the earth in advance. Once everything was ready, He then created man. In God’s creation, man was the last to be created. Yet in the past, man was the center, and he still is today. This is like the traditional Eastern custom of a wedding, in which the bridegroom prepares everything before the bride arrives. Likewise, God prepared everything for man before finally creating him. The heavens exist for the earth; the earth and all its forms of life exist for man; and God’s purpose in creating man is for man to be for God — for man to express and represent God on earth. Thus, man is the center of all things in heaven and on earth.
The creation of man was the highest among all of God’s creations. God first created the heavens and the earth, and finally, He created man. This was because all other things were created for man, while man was created for God. Man was created in God’s image and according to His likeness. The creation of man was unique: God formed man from the dust of the ground and then breathed into him the breath of life — His own life — so that man became a living soul with a spirit. Among all God’s creations, only man has a spirit within. Man’s spirit is the lamp of Jehovah, meant to contact God, to contain God, to express God and to exercise dominion over the earth in representation of God.
