第五天：生出水中和空中的活物
在神创造的第五天，神说，『水要多多滋生有生命的物；要有雀鸟飞在地面以上，天空之中。』神就造出大鱼，和水中所滋生各样有生命的动物，各从其类。又造出各样飞鸟，各从其类。神又赐福给这一切，说，『滋生繁多，充满海中的水；雀鸟也要多生在地上。』水中的活物滋生了，空中的活物也被造出来了。鱼是较低等的动物生命，鱼的特点是生活在盐水中。盐水通常不长东西，反而会杀死生命。然而鱼能在盐水中生活，能驱除死海里的各种盐；这意思是说，鱼的生命能存活在任何死亡的光景中。而雀鸟是较高等的动物生命，鸟的特点是超越，鸟能超越死水，并且能展翅上腾，超越一切邪恶的环境。
在福音书中，主耶稣启示祂自己为五饼二鱼，作人的食物和生命的供应。今天整个人类社会正如一个大盐海，充满了黑暗、败坏与死亡。但我们里面有基督的生命，如同鱼的生命一般，能生存在黑暗、败坏的社会中。当人试诱我们，跟随他们去追逐败坏的潮流－看电影、租漫画书、打电动玩具、玩算命游戏等等。此时我们里面有基督那鱼的生命，能驱除盐分与死亡，使我们能向他们说『不』。主的生命也是鸟的生命，能超越一切的环境与邪恶。如同以赛亚四十章所说：『但那等候耶和华的，…必如鹰展翅上腾。』天天持续的享受主，我们能经历主作鹰－那更高的生命，使我们能超越一切烦扰、逼迫、艰难或痛苦。

God’s Restoration and Further Creation: The Fifth Day – Gen. 1:20-23
The Fifth Day: Producing Living Creatures of the Water and the Air
On the fifth day of God’s creation, God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens” So God created great sea monsters and every living creatures that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” The living creatures of the water multiplied, and the living creatures of the air were also created. Fish are a lower form of animal life. The characteristic of fish is that they live in salt water. Salt water usually does not grow things, but rather kills life. However, fish can live in salt water and can eliminate the various salts in the dead sea; this means that the life of fish can survive in any situation of death. Birds are a higher form of animal life. The characteristic of birds is transcendence. Birds can transcend the waters of death and can soar on wings, transcending all evil environments.
In the Gospels, the Lord Jesus revealed Himself as the five loaves and two fish, as food for man and the supply of life. Today the entire human society is like a great salt sea, filled with darkness, corruption and death. But within us we have the life of Christ, which is like the life of fish, able to survive in a dark and corrupt society. When men tempt us to follow them in pursuing corrupt trends — watching movies, renting comic books, playing video games and fortune-telling games, etc. — at this time we have within us Christ’s fish-like life, which can eliminate the salt and death, enabling us to say “no” to them. The Lord’s life is also the life of birds, able to transcend all environments and evil. As Isaiah 40 says: “But those who wait on the Lord… shall mount up with wings like eagles.” Through continuously enjoying the Lord daily, we can experience the Lord as the eagle — that higher life, enabling us to transcend all troubles, persecution, difficulties or suffering.
