神对我们乃是一切
这位神，这位主，对我们就像阳光一样；没有祂，我们里面是黑暗的，我们的人生也处在黑暗中，至终会得着黑暗的结局。这一位神，这一位主，对我们也好像食粮一样；没有祂，我们里面就得不着饱足，感觉虚空乏味。这一位神，对我们也像活水一样；若没有这位神，我们里面就会干渴，感觉不愉快。这一位神，对我们又像生命；没有祂，我们里面就没有生命。没有祂，我们里面是死寂、下沉的；我们不够活泼、新鲜，我们没有生气。
总之，没有这位神，人就是黑暗的、饥饿的，并且人也是干渴、失望的。人若没有这位神，一生就不正确。家庭里没有这位神，就不能完满、上轨道。社会里没有这位神，定规紊乱失序。反之，如果一个人有了神，这个人就是光明、正确的。如果家庭里有了这位神，这个家就会是美满、上轨道的。如果社会有了这位神，这个社会将是平安、和谐的，是个荣耀的社会。因此，人人需要这位神，家家需要这位神，社会也需要这位神。没有耶稣，一切尽如捉影，如捕风；有了耶稣，虚空人生有意义，家庭变得美满，社会充满和谐。
诗歌说，“需要耶稣！需要耶稣！人人都需要耶稣！要免虚空需要主，要得满足需要主！要使人生有意义，你需要耶稣！”有了祂，人生就不虚空；有了祂，人生就有满足；因为人所需要的就是祂，人所能倚靠的也是祂。有了祂，人就有了一切；有了祂，虚空的人生就会变为诗歌。
人得着神的路
然而，我们如何得着这位神呢？圣经告诉我们，祂离我们各人不远，就在我们口里，在我们心里（徒十七27，参罗十8）。虽然人类因堕落远离神，神却亲自来到地上，寻找拯救失丧的人。现今，祂已为我们死在十字架上，并且已经从死里复活，升到天上，成为赐人生命的灵，要临到每一位相信祂的人。
这是一件奇妙的事。无论在什么时候、什么地方，无论什么人，只要肯敞开他的心，求告这位主耶稣的名，接受这位神作他的救主，作他的生命，在他内心立刻起了变化。原来他里面是黑暗的，现在变得光明；原来他里面是痛苦的，现在满有平安；原来他里面是软弱无助的，现在变作刚强有力；原来他里面是摇摆不定的，现在变作坚定不移。这乃是因为他接受了这位主耶稣，相信了这位神，他里面有了中心，有了安定的能力。结果他就有喜乐的人生；他整个生活充满光明，行事为人得体正确。这是由于主耶稣进到他里面，调整了他的人生，满足了他里面的需要。

God Is Everything to Us — Rom. 10:8
This God, this Lord, is like sunlight to us; without Him, we are in darkness within, our lives are enveloped in darkness, and ultimately, we will end in darkness. This God, this Lord, is also like food to us; without Him, we feel unsatisfied, empty and dull. This God is like living water to us, without Him, we feel thirsty and uneasy. Moreover, this God is our life, without Him, there is no life within us. Without Him, we are lifeless and frustrated, lacking vibrancy, freshness and vitality.
In short, without this God, humans are in darkness, hunger and thirst, filled with disappointment. Without this God, one’s life is misaligned. A family without this God cannot be fulfilled or on the right track. A society without this God will undoubtedly fall into disorder and chaos. Conversely, if a person has God, they will be enlightened and aligned. A family with God will be harmonious and well-ordered. A society with God will be peaceful, harmonious and glorious. Therefore, each one of us needs this God, every household needs this God, and society as a whole needs this God. Without Jesus, everything is like chasing shadows and grasping the wind. With Jesus, a life of emptiness gains meaning, families become fulfilled, and societies are filled with harmony.
There is a hymn that declares: “You need Jesus! You need Jesus! Men and women all need Him! To escape from vanity, to obtain reality, to make life significant, Yes! you need Jesus”! With Him, life is no longer empty; with Him, life is fulfilling. man’s deepest need is He, who is the only one we can depend on. With Him, we have everything; with Him, a life of emptiness transforms into a beautiful song.
The Way to Gain God
But how can we gain this God? The Bible tells us that He is not far from any one of us; He is in our mouth and in our heart (Acts 17:27; cf. Rom. 10:8). Although man fell and became distant from God, God Himself came to earth to seek and save the lost. Today, He has died for us on the cross, risen from the dead, and ascended to heaven. He has become the life-giving Spirit, ready to come to everyone who believes in Him.
This is a marvelous truth. At any time, in any place, anyone who is willing to open their heart, call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and receive this God as their Savior, his life will experience an immediate transformation within. Where there was darkness, there will be light; where there was pain, there will be peace; where there was weakness and helplessness, there will be strength and vitality; where there was instability, there will be steadfastness. These transformations happen because they have received the Lord Jesus and believed in God. Now, within them is a center, a source of stability. As a result, they live a joyful life, their entire being radiates light, and their actions are proper and upright. This is because the Lord Jesus has entered their lives, reshaped their purpose and fulfilled their innermost needs.
