福音的见证（接上篇）
或许当场有人会说，“算了吧，你自己也弃绝过。”然而我们相信，彼得还能放胆说，“不错，五十天前我弃绝了祂，但是祂没有弃绝我。现在我的罪已经得着了赦免。我在这里不再弃绝祂，乃是传扬祂。从前我和你们一样，但现在我和你们不同。如果你们要和我一样，就得认罪、悔改。”
比方，一位弟兄得救了。五年前，他是打牌、喝酒、跳舞的，但今天他站在讲台上，对群众说，“你们这班犯罪的人，不是打牌、跳舞，就是抽烟、喝酒，统统都沉溺在罪恶中。”有人就讥诮说，“算了吧，你五年前不也是和我一样？”然而，弟兄姊妹都知道不一样。五年前一样，今天不一样。五年前，他和朋友一同犯罪、沉沦，但今天他不再那样作了。五年前朋友约他打牌，他就去，朋友找他喝酒，他就喝，但今天不同了。那些朋友成天还在酒里，他却已经在基督里了；他们还在牌桌前，他却已经在神面前了。今天他是大大不同了。他的罪已得了赦免。当他站在讲台上，不是讲一篇罪得赦免的道理；他站在那里，就是罪得赦免的活见证。
这就是福音。从前我爱世界和你一样，但今天我和世界断开了。从前我不懂什么叫作基督复活、升天，但是今天我懂得。我懂得祂若没有复活，我就没有能力，胜过罪与死；祂若没有升天，我就没有地位，脱离世界的缠累；祂若没有复活、升天，我怎么有胆量，又怎么能有这个话语，在讲台上对大家传讲主耶稣。我能在台上讲给人听，乃是因为我的罪得了赦免，世界我也脱开了，并且我是在复活里，是在升天里，与神成为一。我在那里没有一点恐惧，我是坦然的，我是在神里面的，所以我能对大家说话。我在台上，就是基督复活、升天的一个见证。这是真正的福音。

Perhaps someone present might say, “Forget it, you yourself also rejected Him.” Yet we believe Peter could still boldly say, “Yes, fifty days ago I rejected Him, but He did not reject me. Now my sins have been forgiven. Here I am, no longer rejecting Him, but proclaiming Him. I used to be like you, but now I am different from you. If you want to be like me, you must confess and repent.”
For example, imagine a brother who has been saved. Five years ago, he gambled, drank and danced. But today, he stands on the podium and says to the crowd, “You sinners are either gambling, dancing, or smoking and drinking, all of you drowning in sin”. Someone might mock him, saying, “Forget it, weren’t you just like us five years ago”? However, the brothers and sisters all know he is not the same. Five years ago, he didn’t change, but today he is different. Five years ago, he sinned and fell along with his friends, but today he no longer lives that way. Five years ago, when his friends invited him to gamble, he played; when they asked him to drink, he drank. But today, things are different. Those friends may still be consumed by alcohol, but he is now in Christ; they may still be at the gambling table, but he now stands before God. Today, he is completely different. His sins have been forgiven. When he stands on the podium, he is not just preaching a doctrine of forgiveness of sins; he himself is a living testimony of sins forgiven.
This is the gospel. I used to love the world just like you, but today I have severed ties with it. I used to not understand what it meant for Christ to be resurrected and ascended, but today I understand. I understand that if He had not been resurrected, I would have no power to overcome sin and death; if He had not ascended, I would have no position to break free from the entanglements of the world. If He had not been resurrected and ascended, how could I have the boldness and the words to stand on the podium and proclaim the Lord Jesus to you? I can stand here and preach because my sins have been forgiven, I have been separated from the world, and I now live in resurrection and ascension, united with God as one. I stand here without fear, with full confidence, because I am in God. Therefore, I can speak to you. As I stand on this podium, I am a testimony of Christ’s resurrection and ascension. This is the true gospel.
