福音的启示─不是人为神发热心，乃是神给人托付
当我们为着福音聚会有仰望时，有两点是我们都必须清楚地。首先，我们必须清楚，我们的福音工作，绝不是任何鼓动出来的活动。不是我们鼓动弟兄姊妹发一点热心，而有的福音工作。我们确实知道，任何鼓动所产生的结果，都没有永远的价值；因为那不是出于圣灵的。我们所以要有这个福音工作，乃是深深地背负一个重担。我们盼望不只少数弟兄姊妹，在主面前背负这个重担，更要让圣灵把这个负担，卸到每一位圣徒身上。换句话说，必须是我们众人在主面前，在一个身体里，共同背负这个担子。
我们不愿意说到别人如何作，也不愿意以自己和别人作比较。然而，我们必须承认一个事实，就是今天在基督教里，许多的布道会、奋兴会，背后属灵的实际太少。他们既缺少属灵的根据，也缺少属灵的分量，更缺少属灵的内涵作后盾。
我们在圣经里看见，头一次教会传福音是在五旬节，那时他们背后属灵的后盾相当有分量。他们不是在外面有一个活动，从鼓舞人中鼓动出一种行动；乃是在他们背后，有很重的属灵背景，有很强的属灵后盾。他们属灵的背景，属灵的后盾，强到一种程度，能完成神的心愿。所以，我们必须看见，若是要教会传福音有属灵的分量，有权柄在人身上，能以完成神的心愿，我们就必须有五旬节那天所有的属灵后盾，属灵的根据。
过去我们在弟兄姊妹中，没有藉着什么鼓动、鼓吹，叫弟兄姊妹热心起来，兴奋起来。我们实在知道，所有由鼓动产生出来的活动，非但没有永存的价值，并且对教会实际的事奉，有相当的害处。所以，我觉得应该对弟兄姊妹说明，我们虽然愿意有一点扩大的福音传扬工作，但我们没有万分之一的意思，要鼓动弟兄姊妹起来热心作什么。其次，我们应该在主面前接受一个负担。我们要看见，教会头一次在五旬节传福音时，是由于圣徒们在主面前，接受一个负担。那个负担，当时他们或许还说不出什么究竟。他们或许还不知道，那个负担是要把他们身上，他们灵里所背负的基督，释放出去，卸到千万人身上。他们有这个负担，有这个感觉，但他们没有这个领会。

The Revelation of the Gospel: Not Man’s Zeal for God, but God’s Commission to Man
When we gather to pray for the gospel, there are two points we have to clearly understand. First, our gospel work is not the result of stirring up our enthusiasm. It does not stem from urging brothers and sisters to display zeal. We are fully aware that any result produced by mere human effort holds no eternal value because it is not of the Holy Spirit. A deep burden we carry is the reason for our gospel work. We hope that not only a few brothers and sisters will bear this burden before the Lord, but that the Holy Spirit will put this burden on every saint. In other words, all of us, together in one body before the Lord, must jointly carry this burden.
We do not intend to criticize how others operate or compare ourselves with others. However, we must acknowledge a reality: today, within Christianity, many evangelistic or revival meetings lack spiritual substance. They lack a solid spiritual foundation, weight and depth to support their work.
When we read the Bible, we see that the church first proclaimed the gospel at Pentecost. At that time, their spiritual support was weighty. It was not merely an outward activity driven by emotional excitement or man’s inspiration. It was a profound spiritual foundation and a strong spiritual backing behind them. This foundation and support were so powerful that they fulfilled God’s desire. Therefore, if the church is to preach the gospel with spiritual weight and authority, to fulfill God’s will, we have to possess the same spiritual backing and foundation as they had on the day of Pentecost.
In the past, we have not stirred or promoted activities among the brothers and sisters to excite them or to make them zealous. We deeply understand that activities driven by merely man’s motivation not only lack eternal value but also harm the church’s genuine service. Thus, we need to explain to the brothers and sisters that while we desire an expanded gospel outreach, we absolutely do not intend to stir up excitement or zeal for activity. Second, we must receive a burden before the Lord. We see that the first gospel proclamation at Pentecost arose because the saints received a burden before the Lord. At that time, they might not have fully understood what this burden was. They may not have realized that this burden was to release the Christ they carried within them, allowing Him to flow out to thousands upon thousands. Although they felt the burden, they did not yet comprehend its full significance.
