约翰福音十五章有三段。一至十一节，说到葡萄树和枝子的关系；十二至十七节，说到枝子之间的关系；十八至二十七节，说到枝子与世界分离。我们是枝子，已经从世界分别出来；我们与世界无分无关，因为我们已经完全联于葡萄树。
约翰福音这一段里，‘世界’一辞，主要的是指宗教世界，特别是犹太宗教。当时对主耶稣的门徒而言，世界就是犹太宗教。他们已经从犹太宗教分别出来，归于基督这葡萄树。
在神眼中，宗教是撒但世界里的一个部门。我们必须从世界分别出来，因为世界和教会是对立的。世界既是撒但的系统，就与基督的身体对立。世界恨恶身体，恨恶枝子，恨恶教会。教会是身体，三一神的生机体，但世界是撒但的系统。撒但的系统总是反对并逼迫三一神的生机体。所以，我们必须与这世界无分无关；我们是在世界之外，已经被分别出来，归于三一神的生机体。

Chapter 15 of the Gospel of John has three sections: verses 1 to 11, is about the relationship between the vine tree and its branches; verses 12 to 17 speak of the relationship between the branches; verses 18 to 27 speak of the separation between the branches and the world. As branches, we have been separated from the world. We have nothing to do with the world, for we have been fully attached to the vine tree.
In this portion of the Gospel of John, the term “world” refers mainly to the religious world, especially the Jewish religion. To the disciples of the Lord Jesus at that time, the world was the Jewish religion. They had been separated from the Jewish religion unto Christ, the vine tree.
In the eyes of God, religion is a department in Satan’s world. We must be separated from the world, because the world is against the church. The world, as a satanic system, is against the Body of Christ. The world hates the body, it hates the branches, it hates the church. The church is the Body, an organism of the Triune God, but the world is the system of Satan. Satan’s system always opposes and persecutes the organism of the Triune God. Therefore, we must have nothing to do with this world; we are separated from the world and have been separated into the organism of the Triune God. Therefore, we must have nothing to do with this world. We are out of the world, having been separated unto the organism of the Triune God.
